Oh, no, the skill check starts with a word problem, and we did not even cover word problems. Not a single one. It does not matter. Many students’ imaginations make problems more difficult than they actually are just because the numbers now have a few words around them. You still solve the first problem below the same as you will the problems without words (except the last problem, so be careful with that one).
